Brunch Queen

I am brunch queen. I will willingly fight any naysayer, combattant, enemy of the gates, lord of the rings, for my title (yes, I did just start naming film titles because I couldn't think of any more synonyms). Onto brunch #56:

Jar Restaurant

Yes, Suzanne Tracht, we are here for round 2. Our first visit left me wondering if there is any fine dining establishment that invests in hiring a decent pastry chef, namely yours, and our second visit left me feeling the same way with your apple-nut-coffee-bread-thing that was a little bit too dry. I felt myself pick at it because I was hungry and tired of waiting for my food. When the food actually arrived, the presentation was simple (I'd go to the extreme to say, it was "plain") and the taste -- well, just okay.

Sorry Suzanne. Maybe stick to your giant-ass lamb limbs and perfectly tender cuts of steak. Brunch queen has decided.

Lobster benedict
What was meant for greatness fell short because of its misnomer: if lobster is going to be half of your name on the menu, you might as well have more than .5 oz of it on the plate.

Steak and eggs
He said it was good, but it looked sparse to me. . .

BLD
(Also known as Breakfast Lunch and Dinner)

Your very own french press when you order coffee or tea! Glorious.
$3 for 5 cups of coffee? Yes please.

Anna's wild mushroom frittata with fingerling potatoes

Cutest 'lil honeybee, Anna's modeling hand.

Eggs Florentine
Creamed Spinach, potatoes, Piquillo hollandaise, and a brioche on the side.

OH-SO-DELICIOUS.
You win, BLD, You win.
