Well if I haven't told/complained to you yet, the entire month of August I will be helping out at the registers with the ladies instead of in the back with the boys. This poses a problem for me because it seems that the entirety of Paris has been evacuated, and there are maybe one or two customers every 6 hours. Slight exaggeration perhaps, but it sure seems like it. So, to pass the time, we goof around, throw flour at each other, and eat. A lot. That's all I do all day. I stuff croissants in my mouth or whatever else is in front of me. Like a tartelette aux fraises or. . . a réligeuse chocolate. HEE. Nonetheless these past 3 weeks I've been staying in the afternoons when it's just Bérenger to make some classic American recipes for them to taste, because they're clueless. The other week I made brownies with peanut butter (George died), and this week I made carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting (George died a second time, and Bérenger ate 2 1/2!!!! After telling me he didn't like cake. But anyway that's a different post.) To try and one up me, Adrien has been teaching me his own recipes on the side. There's a bit of a pastry rivalry. It's between me vs. Fréderich vs. Adrien.
Ha.
Last week he made éclairs aux spéculoos & millefeuilles.
Yum!
Here's me in our bathroom the size of a closet -- and no locks.
I've never peed faster in my life.

soooo, i'll admit i haven't checked you're blog in a little whlie, or even talked to you since like spring break. so i had no idea you are in Paris right now!!! that would explain why you didn't respond to my text message yesterday asking if you wanted to hang out while i'm in town. I guess you can't though. but we need to catch up! there was a lot going on in your life last time we talked and much has happened in mine since. but i guess it will have to wait for a while...
ReplyDeletei hope you are have a great time though! cheers!
Haha awe.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to hang out with you cameron.
Just fly on over to Paris & we'll catch up. :)
How long are you staying in Fullerton?
I'll be back the 4th of September!
I wish I could just go to France. Why was I born a slobbish American boy? Curses! And how I envy you expatriates (you and megan).
ReplyDeleteI'll be leaving Fullerton on the 8th. Of August. So unless I come down for some reason, I won't get to see you for a while longer. Can I send you a letter while you're in Paris? You should email me your "adresse," as they say.
I saw coach Thomas today. He is a very tan man. They hired another art teacher at Troy, and I guess he also teaches Comp Sci. Only at Troy would you have a wrestling coach and a computer nerd teaching art classes...
Megan should be back already! Did you give her a ring?
ReplyDeleteWhat! You're leaving so soon? I might be going up north (not as north as you), but north nonetheless when I get back, so would you want to meet up there? Perhaps? Maybe?
My address is
Résidence Vivaldi, Attn: Tiffany Chen (#801)
102 Rue de Reuilly, Paris, 75012
FRANCE
But I'll email it to you separately if you don't come back and check this.
Do they still have the same pathetic art room tucked away in the recesses of the abyss? Hahahaa......
good times.
Yeah, me and Megan got to catch up last week, it was really nice!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry those French ásse hollés gave you merdé about the 50 (?) states. but the important thing is that you know your right!
you're coming up north, huh? when? and where are you going specifically? I would absolutely love to get together, but I am slightly immobile since I don't have a car. But if you come to Portland, that would be possible.
How long will you be in France?
Keep your chin up and don't let those bullies get the best of you. here's a fun activity for them: have them google french military victories and click the "i'm feeling lucky" button. then see who has the last laugh! muahhahahaha
i didn't get to see the art room, but last i checked the mural i did on the cabinet was still there, and they had weird new desks. but yeah, some of the best times in high school were in that room for sure... you should email coach some pics of your artwork, i'm sure he'd love it!
well, see you soonish maybe?
