A need for no knead bread.

I decided to finally use the amazing Dutch oven that I got for my birthday from my wonderful ex (now invisible) roommate & ...Yannan. The weight of this thing is comparable to a cement brick, probably three. I need not fear robbers, rapists, nor general trespassers as long as I have my dutch oven on hand. If I could muster the energy to lift and strike, I'm in good shape. Forget the pepper spray, I'll attach my Dutch oven to my keys.

Anyway, seeing as it's fifth week, and therefore customary for me to avoid productivity at all costs, I thought I would bake. I haven't baked in so long, the flour in my pantry and the eggs in the fridge feel cheated and neglected -- like leftover Thanksgiving turkey or the questionable jar of something pickled in the darkness of the top shelf. I did a quick Google search of Dutch oven breads, and found this:

A trusting man in a cowboy hat named Darbar posted a recipe up that seemed pretty straightforward, so I went for it. Honestly, I just liked the cowboy hat. The loaf turned out really great for the simplicity of the recipe, and for a first time. I wish I would have timed the whole process a little better because dough is so time consuming. The crust was crunchy and delicious (I coated it with steel cut oats), though I would have baked it for a shorter time after I took the lid off. All in all, the product, according to my painting instructor (bread connoisseur), turned out "SO GUT."

Next time I'll add other ingredients. Perhaps rosemary & sundried tomatoes, or raisins and walnuts? What do you think? Any requests?
