Petition for the old Fantasmic! Dragon.

I have been a guest and Magic Kingdom go-er for over twenty years.
During these past two decades, I have developed a deep seated love for
Fantasmic, so I know the in's and out's of the show -- I can probably
recite the introduction and note all the changes that have been made
since the show's conception. However, during the past couple of months
(I guess, more like years), the show has been rather disappointing.
Everytime I sit down to tolerate the uncomfortable brick or stand behind
the annoyingly tall people who always seem to intentionally stand right
in front of you, I expect the show to be worth it. However I find
myself completely dragon-less as the climax of what was once a FANTASTIC
Disney classic. Mickey's imagination is not strong enough or bright
enough, because he can't even conjure up a decent villain anymore.
Sure, a flailing, rather immobile 40 foot-tall witch is scary, but it's
not nearly as frightening as a DRAGON!?!?!?!??!?!

My question is this:

When is the dragon returning to Fantasmic? I LOVED the old dragon (the
one that spanned the entire stage and looked like cloth), where did that
one go?

Sincerely,
Tiffany

Dear Ms. Chen:

Thank you for your e-mail to the DISNEYLAND® Resort.

We apologize for your disappointment over the temporary absence of the
dragon in the Fantasmic! performance. Unfortunately, there are numerous
factors that can sometimes cause an element of a show to be inoperative
and hence shut down. We always try to resume normal operation as quickly
as possible and we sincerely apologize for any concern this may have
caused. Our Facilities team has advised us in advance that the dragon
will be absent from performances scheduled March 4 - 6, 2011.

In order to ensure that your next visit is a success, we invite you to
contact us prior to your visit to inquire about any updates. You may or
call (714) 781-7290 and our Cast Members will be happy to answer any
show questions you may have.

Again, thank you for contacting us. Comments such as yours are welcomed
in that they assist us in evaluating our operation and our success in
generating happiness for our Guests. We hope you will have the
opportunity to visit the DISNEYLAND® Resort soon and that our
attractions and entertainment will delight you in every way.

Sincerely,

Susan Gates

  5. Seriously! The first time I saw the show when the dragon wasn't working, I felt like I had wasted my time...

That's funny that they replied though. As I read the reply, I was hoping they would comp you some tickets or something haha
