Les saisons font leur petit train.

There's nothing really in this world that warms my heart more than doing absolutely nothing. To spend an afternoon gazing out the window, watching the rain fall, watching the cup empty, and watching close friends share gentle conversation. If there's anything the French have perfected, it's the art of doing nothing. Their culture revolves around forgotten minutes and unimportant hours. With our 2 hour lunch break, us American students will grab a quick sandwich at the corner bakery and not know what to do with our idle selves after the first 15 minutes. We will usually wind up diligently and punctually outside our classrooms while our French counterparts will stroll in tousle-haired and smelling of a chainsmoking and 100 Euro perfume. I've decided to try my hand at this idleness. Thursdays are my free days, and so, each Thursday, I take the day to explore and walk around parts of Paris or try new stores that I've heard about. This Thursday, I decided to explore the 13th arrondissement and found myself in a delightful tea room called "L'oisive Thé" and sat the afternoon away, watching the rain fall on the cobblestone streets.
