Lazy Sundaisies

These photographs are old, but the first two are of the military aircraft that flew over the Champs Élysées on Bastille Day, and then over my apartment window. There were about 50 or so of them -- maybe more. I was trying to protect my eardrums from breaking.

I had a lazy day today. I allow myself some of these from time to time. I woke up, took a shower, and did my laundry in my "kitchen" sink. After I twisted the clothes dry until my hands were raw, I hung them on my window sill -- on my chair, on my desk, wherever there was room. After getting ready and going to church, I took a stroll along Avenue Daumesnil to find some daisies to accompany my lonely calla lilies that I bought from the farmer's market yesterday. All the stores were closed for 3 blocks. I stopped at a bakery for a palmier and was about to turn around when I saw a giant orange sign: "fleurs." Yay :) They had everything: peonies (on sale), chrysanthemums, daisies, roses, lilacs, freesias, lavender, hydrangeas, gerberas, etc. I bought my botte of yellow daisies and then took a long nap.

Now to crack open some Les Misérables...
