Just down the mountain from our little village, across the Candy Cane Forest and the Enchanted Lake of Mystery, lies the detritus urban wasteland of Fuengirola (pronounced Fwen-hee-rolla). Reminiscent of most modernized Mediterranean port towns, Fwengy, the nickname so endearingly bestowed by G42ers, is the neighborhood slum by the sea. Still, for 88 cents, a quick bus ride down is worth the mild entertainment available outside of our little 2-store, 5-street retirement town.
