Today was an off day. My ear infection seems to be getting worse, despite the bi-daily treatment I have been giving it. It is really much too cold to be doing anything but sip tea or a chocolat chaud. However, to console my dreary disposition, I purchased a baguette complet tonight and ate the entire thing. Yes, I have 12 inches of baguette-y morsels sitting in my stomach right now. Perhaps some fig jam and gouda mixed around as well. I was full after the 4th bite, but I couldn't bear to save it for later because it was so warm and soft on the inside, with a perfectly crunchy exterior.
sigh.
