YES.
I know that this was freaking eons ago, but, you're going to have to bear with me and walk down memory lane. Now that Karen is no longer a bachelorette, but clearly very much taken, let the waves of nostalgia crash over you my friends. It was 23 days before the wedding, and Jane and I were still recovering from the chaos that was the bridal shower. We scrambled to organize everything for the bachelorette party and were thankful that at least we didn't have to go through male stripper catalogs (do those exist? And if they do, do they audition?) Instead, we decided to reunite, if not for just one last night, Karen Chai (now Chiu. I'm speaking retrospectively) with her first love: The Dodgers.
I had never been to a Dodger game before. In fact, I have never been to a baseball game, period. I don't consider little leagues baseball, however adorable it was to watch my ex-boyfriend's seven-year-old brother run around and high five his team mates after he struck out. I can probably say with a great deal of confidence that I won't be attending another baseball game unless seriously provoked and threatened with my life. Perhaps baseball's only saving grace is that it attracted two hipster, and, consequently, very eccentric and mildly attractive French men to sit beside me. Wah wah.
Still, I'm glad that with our limited resources, we were able to give her a bachelorette party that she loved :) Hopefully the strippers will audition for her 40th birthday, who knows...
